Bicycling in the region is growing rapidly in popularity, and the Central Shenandoah Valley is nationally recognized as a bicycling touring destination.
This website encourages bicycling in the Central Shenandoah Valley. It details on-and off-road cycling facilities in our neighborhoods, communities, and provides a comprehensive list of scenic loop rides in each of our localities. Browse the maps for scenic routes in the counties of Augusta, Bath, Highland, Rockbridge, and Rockingham; the cities of Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Staunton, and Waynesboro; and the eleven towns that lie between.
Mole Hill Favorites
10 MILE MOLE HILL RIDE
This is a 10-mile bike ride leaving and returning to Mole Hill Bikes. This all paved route will take you through beautiful Shenandoah Valley farming country and across the local landmark "Mole Hill". Parking is free at the shop and you are welcome to park and ride anytime. The shop has complimentary water and restrooms during business hours, and there is a 24/7 repair stand and inflation center outside of the shop.
11 Mi. Gorgeous Grottoes Ride Through Farmland
This ride leaves Grottoes and runs along the foot of the mountains where you will have a stunning view of the mountains and farmlands.
16.8 Mile Paved Ride
This is a fantastic ride leaving and returning to Mole Hill Bikes. You will get to see a lot of beautiful Shenandoah Valley farmland. The route has some hills but it is completely paved.

30 MILE PAVED ROAD RIDE
