Comments:
I got this bike to replace a Wally World bike, I wanted something with better components, better frame and...well lets face it, something I could be proud of, well in my week and 1 day of ownership, I have put over 300 miles on this baby, Time for a tune up? I get people asking me about it everywhere I go, it looks sharp and rides smooth, I did replace the seat and handlebars grips, but doesn't every bike need those replaced to tailor it to the rider? it is slightly heavier than my friends Trek 4300, but not by much... get it you wont regret it

Comments:
Great bike. I got the Revel 2 instead of the boulder for two reasons: it's upgradable to disc brakes and the aluminum (vs steel) frame.I use it on some pretty aggressive trails in [...]. The stock tires do well on steep inclines w/ packed clay, but they fill quickly and shed slowly whenever I pass through mudd. The shifters are placed comfortably and can be accessed by either thumb when shifting up or down. The large wheels give me confidence when crossing rocky ditches or shallow run-off streams. Overall great buy.

Comments:
I bought this bike on closeout for use this winter in Cleveland Ohio. Bought it this week and have already logged over 100 miles on it. Very easy pedaling, great handling and smooth shifting. I normally log 100 to 150 miles a week on my hybrid and got this Giant Revel 2 for rainy days and winter. Tried it in the rain and it handled very well. Can't wait to try it in the snow. Will change to studded snow tires for that.

Comments:
I bought this bike hoping it would be the inspiration I needed to get back in shape. 25 lbs later I can say it has definitely accomplished this goal! One of my favorite things about this bike is how upgradeable it is. Although it doesn't come with disc brakes or anything like that, you do have the option to add them later if your riding becomes frequent enough to merit them. After 620 miles in 2 months the chain has popped off ONCE while mountain biking (15 second repair) and that is the only hiccup I have encountered. This is the perfect bike for anyone starting out or getting back into biking. LOVE THIS BIKE!
