Refund & Return Policy

We want you to love your purchase, but if an item fails to meet your expectations we will accept its return. Please note, once an order is placed the processing begins immediately and cannot be changed or canceled.

Bike Returns

To make a return for a refund, please follow these guidelines:

  • Contact Jordan at jordan@molehillbikes.com or (540) 879-2011
  • Returns will be accepted within 14 days of the invoice
  • Items must be in like-new, unused condition, and undamaged
  • Proof of purchase is required
  • Credit will be issued to the original payment type used for purchase. If a digital gift card was redeemed, this payment method will be credited first.

Items ineligible for return:

  • The item was invoiced more than 14 days ago
  • The item has been used
  • The item is not in new condition
  • The item was marked "final sale"
  • The item was damaged by improper use or accident

In-Store Purchases

If there is a problem with a product that you purchased from us, please bring it back. We will refund the original purchase amount within 30 days of your purchase for items returned in new condition or are defective. Returned merchandise that appears used may not be eligible to be returned or may be subject to a restocking fee at our discretion. Labor fees, such as custom wheel builds or other services, are non-refundable. Tools and parts that have been opened cannot be returned.

Online Orders

You may ship an item back to us if it is defective or not to your satisfaction. Get in touch with us and let us know what you would like to return. Ship returns via Ground UPS, FedEx or insured US Mail (we do not accept CODs). Your original form of payment will be refunded once we receive the item. We will refund shipping costs only on damaged or incorrect merchandise. Returned merchandise that appears used may not be eligible to be returned or may be subject to a restocking fee at our discretion. If you would like to exchange an item for fit, let us know and we will work with you to get the correct size with free shipping. Floor pumps, wire bead tires, repair stands, drop handlebars and fenders may be returned but cannot be exchanged due to the high cost of shipping. Labor fees, such as custom wheel builds or other services, are non-refundable. Tools and parts that have been opened cannot be returned.

Online orders are processed Monday - Friday between the hours of 10AM to 6PM  Your credit or debit card will be charged when the order is processed, but the charges may take up to one billing cycle to appear on your account statement.  Standard ground shipping may take 2 - 10 business depending on your location.

Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight.

When picking up in store, please bring your credit card used for purchase as well as matching ID.

Online Order Cancelations:

Bike Shipping

Due to our dealer agreements, we cannot ship our bikes to you. However, we can often ship it to your local authorized dealer for that brand. Please contact Jordan at jordan@molehillbikes.com or at (540) 879-2011 if you would like to discuss the options of shipping a bike. 

IN-STORE PICKUP

In-Store Pickup is Always Free!

Most orders will be ready within one business day. Please keep in mind that some items may require additional processing time to transfer from off-site locations. Other items may require additional processing time for assembly. We will call or email you once your order is ready for pickup. If you need an item right away we ask that you call us to confirm that the product is available before heading over to our store. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders need to be picked up within 15 days or a 10% restocking fee will be charged.

Information Security

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.

We sometimes use other companies (third-party service providers) to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders and delivering packages. They need access to some personal information in order to perform their duties but may not use this information for other purposes.

And we strive for similar accuracy and timeliness with the other information we offer here.
